Residency Requirement
The City of Palo Alto requires at least 50% of the Club's adult membership to be Palo Alto residents. PA residents who apply for membership may join immediately and receive full benefits. Non-resident applicants are placed on a waiting list. People on the waiting list are allowed to play on PATC USTA teams, but they cannot compete on the ladders or receive the monthly Net Notes newsletter.
All applicants (residents and non-residents) are charged an application fee to cover the cost of processing their application. The check you send to the club will be cashed on receipt, and you will be notified when your membership takes effect. The wait for non-residents may be several months.
Existing members will receive renewal notifications. Non-resident members who renew their membership before the annual February 15 deadline will not be placed on the waiting list.
The PATC membership application fee can be paid in two convenient ways: PayPal fast, secure electronic payment or traditional personal check by U.S. mail. Details are in the two web-page application process.
How to Apply
- Fill out the application form.
- Write a check for the appropriate amount (see below).
